is an entrepreneur who believes in creating businesses that impact people and our world positively. For him, its all about doing good by focusing on the three P’s: People, Planet and Profit. Joachim previously lived in Pakistan for 5 years and has now made Kenya his home since 2013. He is co-founder and director of The Blue Link. Joachim holds a master degree in History from the University of Amsterdam.
Jacco Brink
is an entrepreneur who gained experience in both commercial and in the development sector. His main drive is to create sustainable impactful businesses that provide many people a happy working place. Jacco has lived in Kenya for 7 years and since 2017 lives in The Netherlands, traveling regularly to countries where the portfolio companies are based. He is co-founder and director of The Blue Link. Jacco holds a master degree in Economic Geography from the University of Amsterdam.
Ruwan Goppel
has gained experience in the financial and legal field in the development sector as financial controller and finance director. Ruwan joined The Blue Link in 2011 and has been a director since 2015. He mainly focusses on legal and financial matters for the holding companies in the Netherlands and is involved in structuring the international transactions within the group.
Jos Borger
joined TBL in 2021 as ‘Junior Investment Manager’. He supports portfolio companies on strategic topics and oversees potential new investments and exits. Jos previously worked as a strategy consultant, specialized in projects within the investment space (e.g. investment decision support, benefits realization) focused on agri, energy and technology sectors. He partially grew up in Africa and holds a master degree in Theoretical Physics.
Aimee Borggreve
is the Executive (Legal) Assistant in the TBL team. She provides administrative support and participates in the legal management of our businesses. Aimée previously worked at a law firm as a legal and administrative personal assistant and is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree in Law.
André van Loon
joined TBL in 2022 as Finance Manager and mainly focusses on financial and administrative matters for the Dutch holding and finance companies.
André brings 15+ years working experience, mainly gained in the mining and trust sector. He mostly has been working for listed international mining companies as financial manager and non-executive director. He has lived in Luxembourg for a couple of years and returned to the Netherlands in 2018. André studied Finance & Accounting and is a Certified Trust Officer.
